History
Patriot Capital Funding was founded in November 2002 by Richard
Buckanavage, our president and chief executive officer, Timothy
Hassler, our chief operating officer and chief compliance officer,
and The Compass Group, a private investment firm providing capital
to middle market companies. We were initially capitalized by The
Compass Group and an unaffiliated lender in February 2003.
In August 2005, we completed a $130.7 million initial public
offering, and we currently trade on the NASDAQ market under the
symbol “PCAP”.
